Music of Architects has designed the lighting for China Merchants Shekou Nantong Heyuan.

Inspired by a century-old wisteria, the pavilion's lighting design embraces a philosophy of restrained illumination.

Custom fixtures are seamlessly concealed within the timber and ceramic crevices, integrating light with architecture.

Through a subtle internal glow and deliberate unlit blank spaces by the lake, the building is transformed into a breathing lantern at night, creating a warm, narrative-driven environment that harmoniously coexists with nature.
