Stonewood Design has designed The Creamery in Somerset, United Kingdom.

Stonewood Design has transformed a century-old former creamery beside Castle Cary railway station into a contemporary cheese-making facility with a cafe, restaurant and shop.

Retaining the landmark chimney, this project restores the building's original dairy purpose – while reimagining its relationship with the railway.

Once used to distribute dairy products, the station now brings visitors to the site, where the cafe also functions as an informal railway waiting area with live train information.

Designed to celebrate food production, The Creamery offers direct views from the cafe into the factory floor, allowing visitors to observe mozzarella-making processes firsthand.
