SZ-Architects has designed the interiors of the Lost Villa Huanglong Island Lighthouse Hotel in Zhejiang, China.

Nestled on Huanglong Island in the Shengsi Archipelago, this Lost Villa hotel sits beside an old lighthouse with 270-degree ocean views.

Spanning over 4,000 square metres over six years, the architecture is rock-inspired and nature-integrated, preserving lighthouse history.

Inspired by the unique rocks of Huanglong Island and centred on "coexisting with nature", the architecture is embedded at the top of the rocks, preserving the historical traces of the lighthouse.

The result is a pathway that links the hotel and lighthouse like a maritime museum.
