Daichi has designed the Daichi Silent River Tree Sauna in Kanagawa, Japan.

Daichi Silent River Tree Sauna is a project that redefines the forest itself as part of the architectural structure.

"Conventional architecture clears nature away, cutting down trees and transforming naturally thick and strong materials into standardised structural components," said Daichi.

In this project, however, the existing trees were preserved and integrated directly into the architectural framework, creating a seamless fusion between nature and the built environment.

Therefore, the forest is not treated as scenery or background, but as an essential structural presence itself, generating an immersive experience where visitors feel deeply connected to nature.
