Tankhouse and SO-IL have developed and designed 144 Vanderbilt in New York City, United States.
144 Vanderbilt is an eight-story, 26-residence condominium in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, developed by Tankhouse and designed by SO–IL as a sculptural reinterpretation of urban living.
Designed to bring the light, air, privacy and outdoor connection of single-family homes into a multifamily setting, the building features 21 unique layouts, multiple exposures and private outdoor space in every residence.
144 Vanderbilt's pink precast concrete facade reimagines the neighborhood’s red brick context through scalloped, light-responsive surfaces.
With terraces, breezeways, over 11,000 square feet of amenities, landscaped gardens and fully electric sustainable systems, 144 Vanderbilt sets a new benchmark for design-led, community-centred housing.
