Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren are the founders of Swedish design studio Front.

Established in 2008, Front aims to explore and experiment with design methods and aesthetics. In 2006, it designed the successful experimental collection of life-size animal products for Moooi. Recent projects include the Resting Animals collection for Vitra made from wool and ceramics, the upcycled Textile Cupboard shown at at Milan Design Week 2018 and the Hoop lamp – a glass globe-shaped pendant in a wire cage – unveiled at Stockholm Design Week in the same year.

Folk, the design studio’s most recent collection, features rubbish bins, bicycle racks and park benches. Coinciding with Stockholm Design Week 2019, the collection prompted a discussion of how urban furniture can encourage social cohesion in diverse communities. Collaborations with Vestre and Zero have been awarded the Design Museum's London Design of the Year and Elle Deco’s Swedish Design Award.

The studio's work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Vitra Design Museum, Centre Pompidou and M+ Museum.
