The Hub at Inventure Academy is an indoor and outdoor pavilion at a K-12 school in Bangalore, India.

A pre-engineered industrial building system has been utilised in new ways to create a very low-cost, low-energy, high-performance learning environment.

The structure is passively cooled, has natural daylighting and views of nature from every space, and captures all of its rainwater to recharge the local aquifer.

A simple, lightweight roof structure with a 45-meter clear span covers an open sports and assembly space with a stage and three enclosed studio buildings that house the arts, music, dance and maker-space programmes.

This project has been longlisted in the civic building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
