Cycling Through Trees
by BuroLandschap and De Gregorio & Partners for Visit Limburg

Shortlisted for infrastructure project of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Cycling Through Trees is a tight double-circle cycle path with iconic allures that runs through the crowns of the trees in Belgium.

The path is 700-metre-long and rises gradually with a slope of maximum 4 percent to a height of 10 meters.

The columns of the bicycle bridge in corten steel are alternately placed 1, 2 and 3-meters apart and symbolise the straight trunks of the pine trees. This ensures that the construction blends nicely into the environment.
