22 Handyside Street
by Coffey Architects

Tim Soar

22 Handyside Street is built of lightweight concrete and steel as a commercial building designed around form and façade.

Its orientation, cleave, percolation and shine reflect Coffey Architects' approach to making a bright building that is striking in form but also considered carefully in terms of tenant wellbeing.

It talks to the fundamentals of architecture, light, mass and form. At a time when many are working from home in less than perfect light conditions, this building is a reminder that architecture can provide bright, fresh and healthy workplaces.

This project has been longlisted in the business building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
