This health infrastructure is the result of a research process carried out, jointly with the Catalan Health System, to respond to the arrival of Covid-19 in March 2020.

This process is materialised in an implementable typological model, close to any general hospital, with the aim of supporting the local health network, according to the specific needs of the centre in each circumstance.

Covid Polivalent Hospital has 56 hospital beds distributed over 2 floors and 32 conventional ICU beds distributed in 3 floors.

This project has been longlisted in the civic building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
