Io explores the functionality and possibilities of a baby's crib.

Cutouts made from solid oak CLT reference Moroccan wood screens and Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass panels to offer full visibility inside. High contrast framing and shadow play stimulate a baby's curiosity.

Considering the full lifecycle of a product, Io easily transitions into a 3-walled toddler bed or low-lying, platform toddler bed.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
