Minitopia is a newly built residential area with 30 inventive, playful DIY design houses.

Design agency Rezone gives residents the space to build their own compact homes and environment, according to their own needs. This former waste disposal site for which building plans had been put on the back burner, is now an example of sustainable, affordable living. Rezone want to show that housing can be different: cheaper, more compact, more flexible, more sustainable and with a unique architectural design. If every city has such a flexible development location, we can work on a sustainable future.

This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
