Southwark Park Pavilion & Cafe
by Bell Phillips Architects

Kilian O Sullivan

Bell Phillips has built a single storey pavilion and cafe in Southwark Park, London.

Southwark Park Pavilion includes a café, park offices, public amenities and areas of external seating. The building is part of a larger master plan that will create a focal point for activity within the park. The pavilion is clad with a bright-white, handmade, textured facing brick, helping the building to offer a soft contrast to the setting. The sweeping curved facades embrace the surrounding park, trees and lake, picking up the shadows of surrounding trees and offering fabulous panoramic views across the park from within.

This project has been longlisted in the hospitality building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
