Chen has earned a reputation for delivering mould-breaking designs that will deliver a better urban future. His work has been widely published around the world and recognised by the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Registered Architects.
Chen graduated with honours from the Bezalel School of Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he serves on the board and as guest lecturer. He has been a guest lecturer at Clemson University, Syracuse University, Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture, and The Technion in Haifa. He was also the keynote speaker at Rotterdam Architecture Month in 2019. He is a professor at Columbia University’s Real Estate graduate program.
Recent projects include the renovation of the historical Postkantoor in Rotterdam, a 2.7 Million SF master plan in Astoria, Queens, and the award-winning 98 Front Street in DUMBO. His writings on architecture have been published in ODA’s latest book, Unboxing New York.
