Austin Habitat for Humanity Mueller Row Homes by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture
Chase Daniel

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture has created housing for 11 families in a popular and activated central Austin mixed-use neighbourhood.

The project creatively offers affordable residences with unique designs that fit within the district of Mueller.

The attached, single-family homes allow for dense living outside of a condominium grouping. The warm, modern building design provides each home with an individual identity while maintaining an overall design narrative that encourages neighbourly interaction. A generous, shared front yard leads to active common areas and allows the row homes to directly engage with the community park across the street.

This project has been longlisted in the housing project category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
