Keeps has created a bedroom collection first with an eye on producing high-quality pieces for a mobile lifestyle.

The project sees a bed design created for the first bedroom collection from Keeps, and seeks to address the needs of consumers moving multiple times throughout their life.

The result is a high-quality solid oak bed frame made to withstand frequent assembly and disassembly by way of a carefully considered strap system that eliminates the need for screws.

Informed by minimalist sensibilities, the side and end boards interlock with the corner legs for a sturdy frame with subtle criss-cross detail. The corner pieces are reinforced with nylon tension straps that add texture and warmth to the overall design. Once the bed is disassembled, the straps function as a way to bundle the pieces together for easy transportation.

This project has been longlisted in the furniture design category of Dezeen Awards 2022.
