Republic Design has created a minimal residence in Taiwan that maximises and finds balance between living and storage solutions.
The project is a 28 square metre residence with a height of 340cm, allowing for a redesign of layout to create flow through the property.
A mezzanine was installed at the rear, giving an extra area for the guest room and storeroom. The living room with television wall connects the dining area and kitchen, while a small foldable stairway hidden in the ceiling of the mezzanine ensures easy access.
The use of grey stucco enhances the concrete natural texture, accompanied by the light oak wood creating a warm and chic ambiance for the space, while the matte red kitchen cabinet and the brick wall create a more distinct feel among the materials.
