Niall Mclaughlin
Architect Niall McLaughlin is founder of Stirling Prize-winning studio Niall McLaughlin Architects.
McLaughlin's studio designs buildings spanning education, culture, health and housing sectors. Notable projects include the International Rugby Experience museum, Auckland Tower, Saltmarsh House and The New Library at Magdalene College, for which the architect won the 2022 Stirling Prize.
Recently, McLaughlin revealed a proposed design for a timber-framed building surrounded by woodland for cancer support charity Maggie's in Cambridge.
McLaughlin is currently professor of architectural practice at The Bartlett School of Architecture. Previously, he was a visiting professor at UCLA and Yale University, where he was appointed Lord Norman Foster Visiting Professor of Architecture.
