Espacio 18 has designed Casa Tobi in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Casa Tobi, on the coast of Oaxaca, reinterprets primitive architectural principles with a playful design, where its stepped structure adapts to the sloped terrain, maximising Pacific Ocean views – while the upper entrance features a terrace and a reflecting pool that cools spaces and fosters contemplation.
Earth-toned materials blend with the landscape, further enhancing its natural integration.
Casa Tobi emerges as a refuge in harmony with nature, promoting conscious tourism and offering a serene space to share, enjoy and reflect.
This project has been longlisted in the house rural category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
