Officeu Architects has designed Community Health Centre Bles, a multidisciplinary health hub in Brussels, Belgium.
The former horse stables of the Hollandia dairy factory have been transformed into a medical neighbourhood hub, housing a general medical practice, paramedical spaces, a polyvalent room and a multifunctional circulation zone.
Each part of the program is accommodated in a 'pocket', inserted into the existing volume, accessed via the inner street.
This approach preserves and enhances the building's heritage value while ensuring reversibility.
Two patios, carved out from the existing volume, bring in natural light and greenery, improving comfort and contributing to a healing environment that supports the well-being of both patients and staff.
This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
