Chang Wong Industrial Co has designed FILIE® Reclaim, a water-separable composite material for circular design.

FILIE® Reclaim is an innovative synthetic leather made with recycled PVB plastic from car windshields.

This project is designed to solve one of the most pressing challenges in material development today: the recycling of composite materials.

Inspired by the separation and recycling process of car windshields, FILIE® Reclaim uses water and ultrasound to separate its layers, making recycling into a mono material not only possible, but practical.

This project has been longlisted in the material innovation category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
