Gable House stands as a reimagining of what a family home can be by balancing heritage sensitivity with creativity, expression and contemporary living.

Designed by Studio Doherty in collaboration with Folk Architects, it explores creativity and expression, where every room invites discovery and tells a unique story.

Located in a heritage-sensitive Melbourne suburb, the Queen Anne-Federation residence is defined by its varied roof forms and a prominent tower.

The design reorganises internal living spaces around a central courtyard and introduces a zinc-clad extension, seamlessly balancing old and new.

Bold materiality, layered interiors and curated elements create a home where artful design and practical living coexist in perfect harmony.

This project has been longlisted in the residential interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
