2321 Architects and Moult have renovated the Kisetsu-Kouji Headquarters, a new office facility in Saitama, Japan.
This project involved the construction of a new headquarters for construction company Kisetsu-Kouji, which was relocating to Iruma City, Saitama, a site designated as an industrial district.
"The client's primary request was to create an office environment that enables each staff member to work autonomously," said 2321 Architects.
The building, composed of a large warehouse and office spaces, serves as a backdrop where autonomous working styles for each employee are encouraged.
By applying materials and colours across different elements without being bound by their typical roles, the design rejects conventional hierarchies and symbolism, creating a flexible and exploratory spatial experience.
This project has been longlisted in the workplace project (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
