Keiji Ashizawa Design has designed the interiors of the Mariha Salon, a residence-style showroom in Tokyo, Japan.
Mariha Salon is a showroom designed to feel like a private residence, where guests are welcomed as special visitors.
"Instead of frequent exhibitions, the focus [was] on creating a harmonious blend of jewellery, furniture and the space, allowing visitors to experience the products as if they were in someone’s home," said Keiji Ashizawa Design.
Key elements include sustainable materials like recycled Japanese paper art and a large, freestanding plaster wall, which contribute to a naturally flowing layout.
On the living side, a cosy lounge with art and bespoke furniture crafted from domestic wood warmly welcomes each guest.
This project has been longlisted in the retail interior (small) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
