Tom Fereday has designed the Sia Outdoor Chair for Nau, named after its unique adjustable backrest, translating as 'movement' in Hindi.

Inspired by traditional bearings, the Sia Outdoor Chair is slender in design yet uncompromising in comfort.

Shaped from solid cast aluminium, Sia curves to the body's form whilst using the minimum amount of material required to achieve comfort.

In addition, the chair is contrasted by a minimal stainless-steel frame, which supports the sculptural aluminium elements and allows for a strong and stackable design.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
