Verso Instruments has designed Sine, an electric guitar featuring the innovative Sine Pad.

The product design of Sine also introduces the 'Sine Pad', a flexible sheet metal surface that allows playful adjustment of the pickup-to-string distance for expressive volume control and seamless integration with expression, CV and MIDI.

By pressing and releasing the pad, players can shape their sound in real time, creating natural volume swells. In addition, pickups attach magnetically to the body and can be freely repositioned.

The same motion can control external gear  – effect pedals, synths, or audio software: the Lehle Expression sends CV or MIDI – expanding creative possibilities beyond traditional electric guitars.

Verso blends traditional craftsmanship with an industrial approach, using powder-coated sheet metal to unlock new aesthetic and functional potential.

This project has been longlisted in the product design (consumer design) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
