Pepper & Well has designed the bathroom interiors of This is Lumeah in Melbourne, Australia.

This is Lumeah is a bathroom ensuite renovation within one of the most intact examples of Paul Couch's residential work.

This project restores clarity to the home's only compromised interior by reading the DNA of the original house: its exposed concrete beams and walls, raw finishes and rigorous material honesty.

Rather than imitate Couch's architecture, the intervention extends its logic with a new in-situ concrete wall and bench that echo the house's beam-and-wall stacking and rare Mintaro Brown Back slate, paying homage to Couch's work elsewhere.

The result feels inseparable from Lumeah, yet quietly of its own.
