Aiora represents the culmination of over 20 years of work by Dr David Wickett, bringing together furniture and industrial design with biomedical engineering and neuroscience.

At its heart lies Floatation technology – a precision-engineered reclining mechanism that transforms the way humans experience motion and balance.

Using planar motion mechanics, Floatation technology minimises the effects of gravity and friction, allowing users to experience the inertia of their entire body without external force.

"Through ongoing research, studies in neuroscience suggest that Floatation technology can alter brain activity, with patterns resembling those observed in long-term meditators," said DavidHugh.
