LBBA Architecture has renovated Cardinet in Paris, France.

Cardinet is a resilient and sustainable renovation project of an office building designed by architect Bernard Zehrfuss in the 1960s.

Now obsolete –both in its uses and its thermal and energy performance – the building offers workspaces designed to meet the practices and needs of tomorrow's offices.

This modern heritage is enhanced by preserving the existing structure and volume while integrating low-impact solutions: exposed raw structure, off-site prefabrication of new timber-frame facades, material reuse and green roof terraces.

Facing the climate challenges, Cardinet combines resource efficiency, brightness and serenity within its workspaces.
