Sylvain Willenz has designed the Istanbul Collection for Papatya.

The Istanbul Collection is a series of six monobloc, injection-moulded plastic chairs for outdoor use, available with or without armrests, designed for Turkish company Papatya.

Engineered with a shared frame structure, the collection allows for the efficient production of diverse chair models through the use of a unique tool for injection moulding comprising interchangeable parts — making it a truly unique project from a manufacturing perspective.

Each chair is named after a distinctive neighbourhood of Istanbul and incorporates design details tailored for specific settings and uses.

As a result, the Istanbul Collection includes Galata, Balat, Bomonto, Hisar, Beykoz and Tarabya.
