Front has designed the Mimmik Tile for Biomason.

Designed by Front and produced by Biomason using Zymecrete technology, Mimmik Tile is the first flooring tile grown with the help of bacteria and now manufactured on an industrial scale.

Inspired by coral, one of nature's most durable structures, the technology uses bacteria to bind carbon and calcium into a biologically formed material.

The result is a strong, durable tile that performs to the standard of conventional alternatives – while cutting carbon emissions by at least 60 per cent.
