Anna Carin Design has designed the interiors of The Atrium in Sydney, Australia.

An outdated 1990s Alexandria townhouse held one true asset: a central atrium pulling daylight deep into the plan.

"We let that light lead every decision," said Anna Carin Design.

"Our role was to translate an international life and a shipped collection into a nostalgic oasis of light composed like a small gallery, where walls stay quiet and each piece has its own moment of arrival."

A bespoke sculpture by Anna Dudek fractures atrium light into shifting, cinematic colour – while gardens by The Garden Social animate the interiors with planting that gently taps the windows.
