Kasawoo has designed The Root, a custom prefab cabin on wheels on the island of Zakynthos, Greece.

Conceived as an experiment into minimal living, this project poses the question of how small a home can be without diminishing comfort, dignity or connection to place.

Installed on ancestral farmland that belonged to the family for generations, The Root regenerates the site while leaving it mostly untouched.

Tucked behind an existing stone house, its red structure provides cosy accommodation for a young couple and their two daughters when they visit the island from their home in London.
