Studio Rough has designed Inorganic Organisms, a bespoke ceiling lamp series.

The Inorganic Organisms lamp series are made of light-transmitting materials using FR-4 waste circuit boards from the electronics manufacturing industry.

The lamps are recyclable with excellent electrical properties, flexibility, mechanical and chemical stability and are resistant to high temperatures and pressures.

"Technological changes have prompted constant changes in our living habits, social scenes and working methods and the new order built in the changes is the focus of Rough," told Studio Rough.

"We abandon gimmicky environmentalism, conduct in-depth research on the presentation and integration of sustainable design in multiple scenarios such as home, office, outdoor and public spaces and explore new needs and possibilities for people and home products."

This project has been shortlisted in the lighting design category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
