Dezeen Music Project: June, She Sings (remix) by BEAKR

We've got a four-day weekend to look forward to here in England, so we thought we should find an upbeat track to end the week on a high with. BEAKR haven't let us down before in this respect, and this remix of a song by Chicago three-piece The Welcome is no exception.

You can listen to BEAKR's other remixes here.

Dezeen Music Project: When I Dream by AB2G

We've had a hot, busy day at the press preview of Herzog & de Meuron and Ai Weiwei's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion which opens to the public tomorrow, so we were grateful to get back to the office and find this tranquil chill-out track by AB2G to wind down to.

The track was submitted by Curious Absurdities, an online music label run by General Reef, who we featured on Dezeen Music Project last week. Curious Absurdities have got loads of other great artists on their books, so make sure you check them out.

Dezeen Music Project: Darkroom by Olly Clucas

We like to mix things up on Dezeen Music Project, so after all the summery chill-out tracks we've been featuring recently, we thought it was time for something a bit different. This track by Olly Clucas is dark, driving and a little bit glitchy: not your typical lazy summer afternoon kind of track, but once the beat kicks in you won't care.

Dezeen Music Project: Love Injection VIP by Apartment:9732 and BambooClart

You don't need expensive, high-tech equipment to make a great track. Apartment:9732 and BambooClart made this lazy, hazy summer-time track using a broken Roland MIDI keyboard and a one of their little sisters' pink Daisy Rock guitars.

Dezeen Music Project: Two by Anders Brasch-Willumsen

Here's another soundscape to relax to while enjoying the sun this weekend, a beautifully serene electro-acoustic track by Anders Brasch-Willumsen (aka Lydomslag).

Dezeen Music Project: Life by General Reef

The sun is shining and the temperature keeps on rising here at Clerkenwell Design Week where we are rushing about trying to cover the festival as well as looking after our Dezeen Watch Store pop-up shop. We need a track to help us chill out, and this ambient soundscape by General Reef should do the trick.

Dezeen Music Project: Dirty Robot by Metamechanics

We love getting original tracks from unexpected places on Dezeen Music Project. This track made up of layers of electronic loops is by Metamechanics, a design and construction consultancy firm by trade. You can listen to some of their other tracks here.

We'll be playing Dezeen Music Project tracks like this one all week at our Dezeen Watch store pop-up at Clerkenwell Design Week, so make sure you drop by.

Dezeen Music Project: Desultory Hearts by Remote Scenes

Maybe it's because we're all partied out from the tokyobike store opening last night, but we're finishing off the week on Dezeen Music Project with a nice mellow track. This melodic soundscape is by Remote Scenes (aka Greig Penny), a graduate architect from Aberdeen.

Dezeen Music Project: Edison (Proton Mix) by Chris Harvey

This evening Dezeen Music Project will be heading off to the launch party for tokyobike's new store, where we'll be behind the decks providing all the tunes.

We'll be spinning an eclectic mix of some of our favourite music that's been submitted so far, including up-tempo party tracks, mellow grooves as well as darker, more ambient music like this great track by Chris Harvey.

All the details about the party can be found here.

Dezeen Music Project: Shard by SuN

When photographer Paul Raftery sent us his timelapse movie of The Shard yesterday, one of our very first reactions was how great the soundtrack was. So we thought we'd post it up in full here on Dezeen Music Project.

The track is by SuN (aka George McCleod), and we think it more than holds its own as a standalone track. But make sure you check out the movie it was composed for as well.

Dezeen Music Project: Carrots by Mykus, featuring Fruit Shoes

Here's another collaboration between UK producer Mykus and singer Fruit Shoes, although Carrots is a much mellower, more light-hearted offering compared to the dark and glitchy track that we featured on Dezeen Music Project a couple of months ago. Here we've got cute, catchy vocals and a refreshingly lo-fi, almost clunky bass-line that sets the tone for the track as a whole.

Dezeen Music Project: This Fortune (remix) by Zwolf

Zwolf has combined minimal beats and a glitchy bass to great effect in this gentle electronica remix of This Fortune, a track by Cardiff-based experimental rock band Islet.

Dezeen Music Project: MyDinamo by Seeds in Helmet

We thought it was time for a different vibe after all the dubby tracks we started the week with on Dezeen Music Project. This ambient track by Hungarian group Seeds in Helmet is dark and brooding, with haunting, whispered vocals and a delicate keyboard line that bubbles underneath.

MyDinamo is part of an album called LoveBox, which you can download for free here.

Dezeen Music Project: World Steppers by Solar Lion

Yesterday we had dub reggae from Berlin, and we continue the global feel today on Dezeen Music Project with some transnational dubstep courtesy of Solar Lion. World Steppers is an intriguing fusion of tribal sounds and rhythms, with a bass-heavy dubstep sensibility.

Dezeen Music Project: Sleeping Problems by Shitwave

Having too many analogue synths to play with isn't conducive to a good night's sleep - that's what Shitwave discovered when making this track, aptly titled Sleeping Problems, which manages to be catchy as well as rhythmically experimental.

There's also a music video for the track that you can watch here.

Dezeen Music Project: A1 Autoroute du Nord by Monster Bobby

If you're a fan of retro keyboard sounds, you'll love this track by Monster Bobby. A1 Autoroute du Nord is a driving, pulsing track with a definite nod to 1980s synth-pop. It also reminds us of some of the excellent 80s-inspired music on the soundtrack to last year's Nicolas Winding Refn movie, Drive.

Dezeen Music Project: Honey in the Mud by Jordan Mitchell

This track by Jordan Mitchell starts off innocently enough, with an intricate repeating acoustic guitar riff. But that's before a big, dirty synth bass-line drops in and takes the track in a completely different direction.
