Petite Friture adds sausage lamps and pink-splashed mirrors to collection

French design company Petite Friture's newest products include playful pendants shaped like sausages and lighting based on laundry (+ slideshow).

The collection features pieces designed by London firm Studio Vit, French designer Constance Guisset and Swedish duo Färg & Blanche.

The label has released an updated set of Francis mirrors created by Guisset, and adorned with watercolour-style splashes of pink and red. The colours, which are digitally printed on the inside of the glass, are intended to recall the oxidation of antique mirrors.

New lighting comes in the form of French designer Sam Baron's glass So-Sage pendants – created to resemble sausages hanging in a butcher's shop.

The collection also features a set of globular lamps set on rounded concrete bases, designed by Swedish pair Studio Vit.

The duo has often used spherical shapes in its work, previously creating lighting with huge round bulbs balanced on conical supports, and lamps with large steel bowls as shades.

Noé Duchaufour-Lawrence created the Mediterranea light, which features brushed brass carefully draped over a horizontal rod

Also included is brushed brass lighting created by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. The French designer's pendants feature horizontal rods, draped in metal designed to resemble "laundry billowing on Mediterranean balconies".

Further lighting comes in the form of Tomas Kral's lightweight pendants, with shades made from rolled metal mesh.

Petite Friture, which was founded in 2010, is also launching its first collection of tableware in partnership with Färg & Blanche. The Succession range includes plates, bowls and cups in matt porcelain with criss-cross indentations reminiscent of a set of leather-wrapped mirrors designed by the pair.

The company has collaborated with several of these designers in the past, releasing a sofa with pebble-shaped cushions by Guisset, and chairs draped in rolled slatted wood, created by Duchaufour-Lawrance.
