This week on Dezeen, we launched our Gaudí Centenary series marking 100 years since the death of Catalonia's most famous architect.
We kicked off the series with an introduction that looked at the key moments and buildings from Antoni Gaudí's life and career.
As the central tower on Gaudí's most famous work, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, was inaugurated by Pope Leo XIV, we spoke to a lead architect working at the cathedral, Mauricio Cortés.
"I've read a few headlines that said that, this year, the Sagrada Familia will be completed," Cortés told Dezeen. "However, the case is that the central towers will be completed with the Jesus tower, but then there are future challenges ahead."
We also interviewed the author of the book God's Architect, who said that canonising Gaudí as a saint would disregard his internal struggles in pursuit of divine perfection.
In Copenhagen, the city is hosting the latest edition of the 3 Days of Design festival.
Highlights included 3D-printed futuristic cutlery, furniture made from electronic waste and coffee shells and products that explore bathing culture.
Also in design news, the founder of design studio Nendo, Oki Sato, announced that he was stepping down.
Sato announced that he would be handing over the leadership baton to managing director Akihiro Ito and his role as chief designer to "talented young designers".
With the World Cup kicking off in the USA, Mexico and Canada, we took a look at the 16 stadiums hosting games at this year's tournament.
In the US, stadiums that are usually home to American football teams, including SoFi Stadium (pictured), will host games, while in Mexico, the Estadio Azteca will be hosting its third World Cup.
Popular projects this week included a contemporary take on a suburban house in west London, a self-designed studio in Camber Sands and a mile-long convention centre in China.
