Alex Cochrane Architects has remodelled and refurbished the executive offices of luxury department store Selfridges.

The revamp is intended to reflect the brand's values towards inclusivity, luxury and creativity.

Extensive structural alterations allow for the total replacement of the east-facing facade, in favour of a colonnade structure that allows for direct views and access onto a newly-landscaped roof terrace.

The terrace encourage users to take a step out of their usual place of work and into a wilder habitat.

This project has been longlisted in the small workspace interior project category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
