Folding chairs are the mobile cousins of normal static chairs. When folded over, this seemingly bulky chair transforms into a flat, abstract square.

With its range of positions between open and closed, the folding chair embodies a range of unique personalities. Its ability to be transported creates a dynamic relationship between it and its use as it adapts to various moments, spaces, and situations.

Fabricated in lacquered MDF and fabric joints, this is a simple and yet sophisticated piece of furniture.

This project has been longlisted in the seating design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
