Mas-aqui has designed the Kamoi House in Barcelona, Spain.

This project was a total renovation of a house in a 1920s building located in the neighbourhood of Poble Sec, Barcelona.

The existing condition of the spaces did not take advantage of the light, ventilation, or original height that was under a false ceiling.

"The need to gain polyvalence and natural light in the interiors was resolved with the creation of new features," said Mas-aqui. "These were used to create the effect of crossing light and also ensured cross ventilation of the house."

This project has been longlisted in the home interior category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
