James Garvan Architecture has designed the Moon House in Sydney, Australia.

This project is a textural, crafted home that encompasses the owners' spirit in its playfulness, functionality and serenity.

Balancing dynamic geometries and rigorous detailing, Moon House is bursting with optimism, yet grounded in ambition.

The diverse Sydney streetscape gave license for an expressive design while still being contextual to the neighbours – voluminous curved geometries bridge architectural typologies, reinforce the project program and enhance the interior atmosphere and dynamic lighting conditions.

As a result, the restrained palette and meticulous craftsmanship create a calm, textural home with flow and ease for family life and entertaining.

This project has been longlisted in the house urban category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
