Leeton Pointon Architects and Allison Pye Interiors have designed the interiors of the House on a Hill, a multigenerational country home on Bunurong Country on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia.

The House on a Hill nurtures its inhabitants and shelters them from the harsh, windy environment, connects to its pastoral setting and celebrates the surrounding landscape.

Spaces and materials are curated for sensorial and emotive value, while robust materials have been selected for longevity and sustainability.

This materiality is counterbalanced to create a softened and enhanced user experience.

The result is a delicate balance of mass and weightlessness and an exploration in form and light.

This project has been longlisted in the residential interior (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
