Atelier Brückner has designed the interiors of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, a multisensory journey that interweaves cultural heritage with innovation under the overarching theme “Earth to Ether” in Osaka, Japan.
The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka invites visitors into a transformative interior that merges tradition with progress, brought to life through the iconic date palm and multisensory scenography.
At the heart of the multisensory experience stands the date palm, a symbol of resilience and sustainability. It is woven throughout the design, from towering rachis columns and furniture to signage and a woven mat, which is crafted from agricultural date palm waste.
Natural materials like wood and palm fibres create an environment where visitors explore thematic zones that showcase the interplay of tradition and technology.
Interactive installations and layered patterns narrate the UAE's journey from heritage to pioneering progress.
The design celebrates the connection between tradition and innovation, offering a space for dialogue and discovery.
This project has been shortlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
