James Melia is a British industrial designer and founder of Blond, a London-based consultancy specialising in strategic innovation and design.

Melia established the practice in 2016, following a decade-long career as a consultant for leading industrial design agencies.

Blond approaches design with an aim to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and the physical world through a commitment to meaningful, human-centric design.
