Nao Tamura is a designer based between Tokyo and New York whose work ranges from product design to installations and spatial design.

Tamura's practice considers how design can connect people, cultures and experiences. She has exhibited globally at institutions including the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto and Salone del Mobile in Milan where she presented an aluminium bench informed by the craft of kimono making.

Tamura's work has received numerous international design awards, including the IF Design Award, the Good Design Award, The One Show, and the Industrial Design Excellence Awards, among others. Other notable projects include a vibrant red triangular toilet block for the Tokyo Toilet project.
