Bocci Design has designed the 93 lighting series.

93 is an exploration of the volatile behaviour of aluminium as it meets glass and air. Created in the glass studio through the direct pouring of molten aluminium into a heated glass vessel, 93 foregrounds a visceral interaction between metal and glass.

As the glassblower moves and responds, the aluminium flows across the interior surface, leaving visible pathways that record the material’s movement in real time.

What remains is a contained articulation of material behaviour, made visible through heat, pressure and movement and suspended within the glass.

The resulting forms are both sculptural and documentary, preserving a moment of pressure, heat and transformation.
