Terrain: Integral Designs has created the headquarters for sustainable furniture brand Grüne Erde in Austria.
The studio describes the future as being plant-based, petroleum-free, socially just and ecologically sound. The practice is aims to encourage designers to rethink standards in design, material use, energy usage and bio-climatic design of large structures.
The firm has redefined these standards in terms of bioclimatic impact with the Grüne Erde Headquarters project. Climatic and atmospheric plant performance is applied on a large scale in line with the studio's concept for the Austrian pavilion 2015 in Milan.
This project has been longlisted in the business building category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
