The Notebooks of Giancarlo De Carlo
by Parasite 2.0

Ph. Gianluca Di Ioia

For the centenary of his birth, Triennale Milano presents The Notebooks of Giancarlo De Carlo.
Parasite 2.0 designed the exhibition mixing environmental installation, archives displaying and performing arts.

An abstracted reconstruction of the iconic Ca' Romanino's living room, create a central intimate space for the visitors where to enjoy the diaries. On one of the corners, a podium with a megaphone for daily performative readings reminds the occupation of the XIV Triennale di Milano and the debates between the curator, De Carlo himself, and the students protesting outside. A mirrored film covers the floor creating a suspended atmosphere.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
