Camille Walala
Camille Walala is founder of multidisciplinary design firm Walala Studio.
Walala is known for her large-scale interventions in public spaces that often feature bold colours and geometric patterns. Notable projects include turning the Design Museum's shop into a pop-up supermarket selling artist-designed foods and transforming a road into colourful "urban living room" in London.
Walala has worked with leading global brands such as Lego and collaborated with renowned designers including Yinka Ilori and Sabine Marcelis.
Based in east London, she is often cited as part of the New London Fabulous wave of maximalist designers. Walala's interventions have been showcased during London Design Festival on multiple occasions, including an inflatable castle and a multicoloured pedestrian crossing.
