Formafatal and founder Dagmar Stepanova have designed the kitchen interiors of Studio House, the architect's own home in Uvita, Costa Rica.

Studio House is a simple yet spatially rich residence that creates unique moments at every turn – born from the harmony of architecture and place.

Sensitively nestled among mature trees, the house is visually and spatially open, yet wrapped in a green mantle that protects its intimacy and fragility.

The indoor kitchen area lies at the heart of daily life, at the centre of the main living space — a welcoming place that greets visitors and flows seamlessly into the outdoor barbecue terrace, featuring another concrete countertop with an integrated fire pit.

This project has been longlisted in the kitchen interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
